At Kiveton Park Infants we believe that deep understanding of key mathematical concepts should underpin all our teaching. We don’t follow a curriculum that moves children on too quickly, before deep learning can be secured; we move children on when they are secure with a concept. As a staff we have used our professional knowledge to develop long term plans that ensure children cover all the statutory objectives from the National Curriculum, using resources from White Rose Maths and the National Centre for the Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
