Finningley Lodge Visit
Before Christmas, our Reception children visited the Finningley Lodge retirement housing complex to sing Christmas carols for the residents there. This annual visit is very much appreciated by all at Finningley Lodge, and we are proud of our children for performing so well in front of an audience.

Christmas Performances
Join us for our Christmas performances: Nursery children will be taking part in a sing-a-long in the school hall, on Tuesday 16th. Reception (F2) children will be performing a nativity in the school hall, on Thursday 18th. KS1 (Y1 and Y2) children will be perfoming a carol concert on the school playground, on Wednesday 17th. Virtual Author
Our KS1 classes had a great virtual author lesson recently with Tom Palmer and Carolina Rabei. They spoke about their book ‘War Dog’ which looks at a true story of a dog called Judy that helped soldiers in the war. The children then made drawings of Judy the dog in challenge time!

Christmas Raffle
The KPI Christmas Raffle will be happening again this year. If you have any donations for prizes, we would be very grateful. All funds raised go directly back to school, helping us buy resources for the children and reduce the cost of school trips. KS1 Painting
The children in KS1 have been learning different painting techniques and skills this term. They have then applied them in a Georgia O’Keefe inspired painting. The Y2 has shown she can mix light and dark shades, and use them appropriately in her work. “I’m an artist!”, she said
