Welcome to Kiveton Park Infants School

Hand in hand we learn

At Kiveton Park Infant School we endeavour to offer an environment that is welcoming, a place where learning is at the centre of all we do and every child is nurtured to help them achieve their full potential.

As an Infant School we believe our role is to set the foundations for the first stages of a child’s learning journey.  This starts in our Nursery and Reception classes where the curriculum focuses on our children’s interests and centres round exploratory learning.  Building on this exciting start, in Year 1, we regularly review the children’s key skills of early reading, writing and maths whilst developing a love of learning. As the children move to Year 2 our aim to promote independence and a sense of responsibility, alongside ensuring that every child makes progress towards the National Expectations for the end of Key Stage 1.  During this time we harness strong links with Kiveton Park Meadows Junior School and tailor transition to help our children make the step in to the next phase of their education.

To help make your child’s time with us successful we seek to establish a partnership between School and Home.  This is done informally, on a day to day basis, and formally at times throughout the year when we will invite you into School to talk about the progress and achievements your child is making.
We hope the information contained in our website will go some way to help you understand some features of school life at Kiveton Park Infants, but why not come and visit us to see for yourself.
